community-led regeneration, creatve initiatives

Project Description

SHEDx is project designed to stimulate communities in Tolworth, and surrounding areas, to become engaged in re-imagining space, both urban and green, through interventions and creative opportunities.

The project takes it’s inspiration from TEDx and the humble British allotment shed, in a programme where communities and individuals gather to share ideas and skills, sparking initiatives that will have a wider benefit for their local area. SHEDx is an opportunity to deliver community-led regeneration amidst larger scale transformation as the area prepares to undergo major changes in the coming years.

This is a great description, taken from Kingston Heritage. The problem was, very few people knew about it, including locals.
